Chanel Spring-Summer makeup collection came out and it’s been a while that I’ve been this excited about a blush. By “a while” I mean three weeks and by “excited” I mean I’ve stopped battling my conscience and just decided to buy the damn thing as soon as I saw it.
If you know about Avant, you’re probably a subscriber of a monthly beauty box. I don’t know anyone who has purchased directly from Avant, mainly due to the absurd price, but in case you’re considering getting a beauty box with an Avant product in it and you’re wondering if t’s any good, this post is for you. Avant: the luxury skincare brand that nobody ever paid full price for.
Clarins is a makeup brand that tends to stay under the hype radar, but for some reason it’s very appealing to me. I don’t know if it’s because they market their makeup as very skincare conscious, or if it’s because of their very fresh and young aesthetic. Might be the later giving that I’ve been a 23 year old girl for the past 8 years. Either way, their Milky Boost foundations really caught my attention and I decided to try them both.
It’s been a while since I’ve made an outfit post. With the corona still very much out there and my recent sideways growth, dressing up has been less than appealing. I find myself going shopping for coffee and bread in the same comfortable, still fitting sweatpants that I’ve slept in the previous night. I really needed to get out of this funk and put on some heels. So I did.
It’s been a while since I last tried KIKO’s base makeup. I’m not big on second chances, and my previous experience was not amazing, but KIKO seems to have matured in that department, so why not? I decided to let it show me if it truly changed, and so I set up a date with their Dolce Diva Powder Foundation in the shade Light Beige.
I promise this is the last post I’m making about the Celestial Odyssey collection. Yes, holiday season as come and gone, but Pat McGrath’s collections tend to stick around for a while, and products once sold out come back in stock, so I think this post might still be relevant. Fingers crossed.
As I’ve mentioned in my 2021 favourites, I got the entire new Viva Glam lipstick collection from MAC. I had every reason to: it is in collaboration with an iconic artist, the design and colour story is unique and collectible, and I’m a master at delegating my problem with lack of makeup storage for future me.
Of all the widely distributed fragrance brands, Guerlain is my favourite. It’s obvious that it was started by a perfumer and not a fashion house that eventually launched a beauty line. Guerlain has 193 years of history and it shows. Their shop in Champs Élysées dates back to 1914 and it’s an ode to sensorial beauty that is, in my opinion, a what-to-see must in Paris.
Petallic Metallic is going to be released with MAC’s future Spring collection, with new and beautiful packaging, but it has been released before with a MAC Mother’s Day kit. And I’m the girl who, even though she makes no money off of this blog and stopped having any room for new makeup 10 highlighters ago, bought this just to be one of the first ones to publish a review.
I told I wasn’t done with this collection. After falling in love with the Shadeshifter eyeshadow in Right Before Your Eyes, I was looking for an excuse to get the remaining shadows that piqued my interest, and the Black Friday sale was the perfect opportunity.
