Easier as in, they solved some very, very first world problems nuisances. They won’t help you pass that damned final exam nor through that dream job interview – although you might face both tasks with hair and makeup on fleek on their account.
I’ve repurchased all of these, more than once, so let me explain why you might want to as well:
The Ordinary -the brand that hasn’t stopped making headlines since it launched. The Ordinary is a sub-brand of Deciem, a company that houses ten different brands, all launched at the same time in 2013. Its tagline isn’t “The Abnormal Beauty Company” for nothing.

Here I am again with another high-waisted skirt. They’re flattering – really elongate the body. The outfit was all in neutral tones, an unintentional match for the clouded, windy day.
Very windy.
I’m not one to visit shopping centers while travelling. Most brands are international, and the products and lines are the same everywhere. However, being my second time around in London, I felt I had enough time to complete the check list of must go-to places and do a little shopping.
Went to brunch at a place specifically chosen because they serve bloody marys (Dear Breakfast, on Rua das Gaivotas, in Lisbon, you’re doing it right), in red plaid and a torero-style jacket. I paired the high-waisted midi skirt with a tucked in plain red button-up shirt, and a black cropped knit jumper over top.
I do a lot of my procrastination browsing Farfetch. I justify it by telling myself that I’m looking for some things that are missing from my wardrobe: a wide brim black hat. Some knee-high socks. I desperately need a replacement for my worn-out black overcoat.
So after a lot of searching I got none of that and bought another pair of boots instead.
While in London we managed to check out two temporary exhibitions that, wouldn’t you know, were fashion related (I swore to my boyfriend it wasn’t on purpose).
While planning for this trip we filled our itinerary with museums and royal palaces. Wouldn’t be a visit to London if we didn’t allow ourselves to be immersed in the history of the city and the tales of the kingdom.
We started with the furthest back history hotspot, chronologically speaking. The Natural History Museum was our first stop.
