Could it be that I found another lavender blush? These seem to be rare yet popular, judging by the views on my purple/lavender blush list post, and as soon as I saw Henbane from Flower Knows I knew I had to check if it belonged there.
Review | Jordan Samuel Skin Hydrate The Mist
After so many makeup reviews in a row, it’s time for some skincare. A mist isn’t necessarily something that I would seek but I have a few that I got in kits/GWP/advent calendars and decided to give them a chance. Of the ones I’ve tried, the Jordan Samuel Skin mist stood out.
Ranking Every 2022 Makeup I Bought!
There was a lot. This took way to much time to write. And this is just makeup that came out during 2022, not necessarily everything I bought throughout the year. I’m going to have to either control my spending or never do one of these posts again and we both know I’m not doing the first so you better enjoy it so I hope my efforts were not in vain and that this is useful or at least entertaining to you, my reader.
Review, Swatches | Estée Lauder Captivating Glow Gift Set
This gift set came out over the holidays and it was a completely blind purchase on my part. I had seen no reviews on it, even though the primer and lipstick are part of Estée Lauder’s permanent line – I just got it to be eligible for their blockbuster kit. This is still available and for sale on a few retailers, and let me tell you… run, don’t walk.
Review | Kiko Brushes (Face 16, Face 07, Smart Blush Brush 103, Eyes 52, Eyes 53, Eyes 56, Eyes 66)
About a year ago, I realised in shock after I arrived in Paris for a week vacation that I had forgotten my makeup brushes back at home. So I had to get a full set of affordable brushes while there. So my dreams of glamming it up in the city of light wouldn’t be turned off. And the closest mall was Gare do Nord where fortunately, Kiko is sold.
So here am I, to review Kiko Brushes.
Review, Swatches | Sephora Colorful Terrazzo Blush in Love in the Tropics Nº44 and South Farniente Nº47
About a year ago I reviewed the Sephora Colorful Terrazzo blush in the shade Chill in the Air (nº45) and I ended alluding to the fact that I might just get more of these if a sale popped up. Prophecy fulfilled.
Review, Swatches | Clé de Peau Beauté Luminizing Face Enhancer in 14 Delicate Pink
Clé de Peau is not an easily accessible brand here where I’m from, and I got the chance to get it for the first time when this beauty line became available in Cult Beauty’s website. For my first product, I chose a highlighter (it had to be a shiny thing, didn’t it? I’m such a magpie).
Review | Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Miracle Cleanser
Very seldomly do I review just one skincare product at a time – I usually have a few products from the same brand and write brand reviews – but this Aurelia cleanser felt like it deserved its dedicated review because it comes in a format I haven’t seen in a cleanser before. I’ve tried balms, I’ve tried oils, I’ve tried soaps and gels and even lotions. But never a cleansing cream. You know, one that looks and feels like a moisturizer.
Review, Swatches | Zao Mineral Cooked Powder in shade 347 Apricot Beige
Ever heard of this brand? Me neither. I saw a small stand for Zao Essence of Beauty at a beauty store when we travelled to Biarritz earlier this summer. This French brand is all about being sustainable and ecological. They aim to reduce plastic and the packaging is made of bamboo.
All of the makeup if refillable. And expensive.
Review, Swatches | Tommy G Special Eyeshadows in 1020, 1030 and 1041
A while back I made a post about all the beauty shopping I did on my honeymoon trip to Santorini. On that haul, there were some Tommy G eyeshadows that I meant to review. And it only took me more than a year to write that review.
At least these are all still available.
