Review, Swatches | Sephora Colorful Terrazzo Blush in Love in the Tropics Nº44 and South Farniente Nº47

sephora terrazzo blush review

About a year ago I reviewed the Sephora Colorful Terrazzo blush in the shade Chill in the Air (nº45) and I ended alluding to the fact that I might just get more of these if a sale popped up. Prophecy fulfilled.

I got the only other two shades that are still available, at least in my Sephora: Love in the Tropics, a mid tone warm coral, and South Farniente, a rusty brick shade.

Love in the Tropics nº 44 performed very similarly to Chill in the Air: it’s a hard pressed matte powder, with no powder kick up but still soft to the touch. It has a very subtly luminous finish, and a sort of transparency quality to it – but the blush is thin nor poorly pigmented. It’s the hardest to build up of the three, but there is no patchiness and it’s easy to blend on the skin. There is no patchiness, it applies evenly, and diffuses without effort.

South Farniente nº 47 is definitely the softer of the three (but still, no powder kick up). You pick up more colour immediately – there is no need to build it up, in fact, you should use a lighter hand with this shade. It’s definitely not as hard pressed as the other two. I would say it is more pigmented, and less translucent than the other two shades, but that translucent quality is still there. It is very easy to blend out too.

All of the blushes are fairly long wearing. I noticed no fading after 9 hours of wear with both of thee shades.

I went into more detail about the packaging in my Chill in the Air review post, but to sum it up, it’s slim, it’s easy to de-pot the pan, it has a mirror and the amount is 3,5g per blush. The price has increased from 12€ to 12,99€ – but again, I would wait for a Sephora Collection sale or deal to splurge on these, since those offers come by somewhat regularly.

Out of the three, Chill in the Air is still my favourite because it suits me best, but South Farniente takes the prize for overall quality.
