Chanel Spring-Summer makeup collection came out and it’s been a while that I’ve been this excited about a blush. By “a while” I mean three weeks and by “excited” I mean I’ve stopped battling my conscience and just decided to buy the damn thing as soon as I saw it.Continue reading “Review, Swatches | Chanel Illuminating Blush Powder in Pêche Rosée”
This past year Hermès expanded their beauty line and released blushes and a single highlighter, Poudre D’Orfèvre Permabrass, that is a neutral toned gold with a stunning Hermès logo embossing and a jaw dropping 98€ price tag. 98 euros for a powder that’s not white and sniffable? The audacity. I had to give it a whirl.Continue reading “Review, Swatches | Hermès Permabrass Highlighter and Silky Powder Blush in Rose Blush”
Here we are, Christmas Eve, and the 12 Days of Christmas finale!! I have to confess, this was a daunting task. A post everyday for 12 days in a row talking about so many favourites was really tiring. I wrote the words “smooth”, “pigmented” and “long lasting” so many times that they’ve lost all meaning. But I’ve pushed through and this project is now fully birthed. Just in time for the most famous birthday of them all.
This post will contain the best makeup products that I’ve tried and have come out in 2021 (limited edition or not).Continue reading “Day 12 of 12 Days of Xmas 2021: My Favourite Products From 2021”
Blush is my kryptonite. I own more single blushes than eyeshadow palettes. As you can expect, I can’t reasonably choose just 7 different singular blushes, so I’m bringing you my seven blush formulas that are currently available and not limited edition.Continue reading “Day 7 of 12 Days of Xmas 2021: My Favourite Blushes”
Surprise surprise, I actually got my Pat McGrath order in time for Christmas! They’re getting better with their shipping times. I order some items from the holiday collection, Celestial Odyssey, a bit before Black Friday and it arrived early December. Thank god. Because obviously, I was in urgent need for blush.Continue reading “Review, Swatches | Pat McGrath Celestial Odyssey Holiday 2021 Divine Blush + Glow Trio in Galactic Sun”
I’m on a cheek roll, aren’t I? With the Dior blush, and the Sephora little experiment looking one, and the Louboutin palette… After getting all of those during Black Friday sales, it just made sense not to get just one more blush, but a set of 5. Well, 4. One is a highlighter.
I’m insane.Continue reading “Review, Swatches | Tarte Best of Blush Amazonian Clay Cheek Set (shades Fantasy, Captivating, Charmed, Exposed & Delight)”
Louboutin recently expanded their makeup line by adding eye and face palettes. So since my low-buy turned to sh*t already, I thought, why not? I have a lipstick and two liquid shadows from Louboutin and love all of it, so it felt like it was appropriate for me to try a cheek product of theirs. And “So Chick” it was.Continue reading “Review, Swatches | Christian Louboutin Blush & Highlighter Trio Palette in So Chick”
Illamasqua was a brand that called out to the atypical and the artistic, and had secured an underground, irreverent space in the makeup world. However, since they were acquired by the Hut Group, they took a turn into the more wearable and the mainstream, which made Illamasqua loose a lot of its identity (and, I suspect, cult following) which is a shame. Still, that doesn’t mean that they stopped doing what they did well. Yes, the colour ranges are getting more basic (just look at the blushes) but there are still some OGs that were great then and are great now – and guess what, some of the newer releases are pretty good too.Continue reading “Top 5 | Best Products from Illamasqua (2021)”
I saw the Terrazzo blushes for sale on the Sephora website and went out to search for swatches and reviews. Can’t seem to find them anywhere. For any shade. So of course, I had a beauty duty to purchase at least one and try and fill this beauty-sphere gap. So here we are.Continue reading “Review, Swatches | Sephora Colorful Terrazzo Blush in Chill in the Air Nº45”
Dior’s Hologlam blush is, if I’m not mistaken, part of the US permanent blush line – and it has always been on my wishlist, but it was not available in this part of Europe. Until now. When I saw this item being released here as part of the holiday collection I ran to grab it (ran as in, I gave my index finger a serious workout session clicking on this item when it showed up online on primor.eu).Continue reading “Review, Swatches | Dior The Atelier of Dreams Rouge Blush in 601 (Hologlam)”
