When preparing for this post, two things surprised me: there are more indie makeup brands than I thought and I have quite a lot of stuff from them; even indie brands discontinue products way too fast.Continue reading “Top 5 | Favourite Indie Makeup Products (2021)”
Makeup trends come and go, I know. But with such a saturated industry it was to be expected that here and there a few unique shades of blush would make it to the permanent line of a handful of cosmetic brands, right?! And I think there was a moment when this was true. Newly launched blush lines would have their purple, orange or bright red pop of colour. And it’s 2021 and nearly all have been discontinued.
I could rant about it until I get purple in the face, but instead I’m going to show you some (still available!) options for you to get purple in your face.Continue reading “Top Favourite Lilac and Purple Blushes (2021)”
I promised a review, it’s time to deliver it. Like I mentioned before, I wouldn’t really care if the quality wasn’t that good because the packaging is enough to make me happy. When it comes to makeup, I really can be that superficial. And Dolce & Gabbana might just be my trophy wife (it sure costs that much).Continue reading “Review, Swatches | Dolce & Gabbana Solar Glow: Ultra-Light Bronzing Powder in Sand, Illuminating Powder Duo in Peach Blossom”
Chantecaille’s limited edition collections are so well edited. They make up for the small range of products by having beautiful, well thought out packaging. The type you like to display. And the Spring/Summer Flower Power collection is no different.
In this collection the infamous Perfecting Blur Finishing Powder was re-released, to the delight of many. I have the version in last year’s packaging and might be reviewing it. What really intrigued me this year though was the blush. I’m a sucker for a nice blush. And man, was I suckered into this £47 oversized eyeshadow.Continue reading “Review, Swatches | Chantecaille Flower Power Cheek Shade (Spring/Summer 2021 Collection)”
Spring is coming. The days are longer, the sun is out. Pastels and light, soft colours are of the hour. And I want a peach of that.
Gimme them peach blushes. I want to have resting peach face.Continue reading “Top 5 | Best Peach Blushes (2021)”
As of today, my most viewed post is a review of Kiko’s Sunshine Tuscan Blushes. I guess I understand why, since Kiko is one of those brands that has a huge line and frequently comes out with limited edition collections, yet there aren’t that many reviews out there.
They also have really good sales and are known for some high end dupes. But they tend to discontinue a lot of their core products, and I have tried more than one dud. So here are my recommendations for Kiko permanent collection products if you want to try the brand, (or just want to enlarge your collection and are checking what else to get to reach the free shipping value, like I usually do. Can’t be having those makeup drawers with any extra room, right?).Continue reading “Top 5 | Best Products from KIKO (2021)”
After getting everything and anything that has ever been on my beauty wish list the past year, this year I’ve been trying to curb my spending, specially when it comes to makeup. I’ve been pretty successful thus far. This is the first makeup item I got in 2021, so you know it has to be something special.
It combines two of my favourite things: Guerlain’s Météorites and blush.Continue reading “Review, Swatches | Guerlain Pink Pearl Météorites (Spring 2021)”
I don’t need excuses to buy beauty products, but it’s nice to have them. I’m new to the beauty advent calendar mania (I know, it’s surprising, but they didn’t use to come by easily in Portugal), so this year I’ve been paying more attention. I was already down for the LookFantastic Advent Calendar when this thing dropped – 11 full size products for 85 pounds. Yes, want, mine.Continue reading “LookFantastic 2020 Beauty Chest – better than any beauty advent calendar”
You know that feeling when you just found something so inconspicuous to be so amazing? Like randomly choosing a wine at the supermarket and finding out it’s the best red you’ve ever had. Like, Emma Stone could never.
This is what these five products are – better than Emma Stone. Surprisingly so.Continue reading “Top 5 Surprisingly Amazing Makeup Products”
I saw Selfridges’ sales being announced somewhere about a month ago and decided to take a peek. Just a peek. Multiple orders later, I give you this (surprisingly unsponsored) post.Continue reading “Selfridges Beauty Sales Haul – Ltd. edition MAC, Huda Beauty, It Cosmetics”
