When I was looking for reviews before purchasing this palette, I could only find youtube videos where the reviewers were all using this palette for the first time. Unfortunately, none of them did a wear test. The r.e.m Beauty eyeshadow palette in Gogo Boots is just the type of thing that reminds us that first impressions are not sufficient reviews.
Review, Comparison | Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primers: Blurring and Hydrating
We are going through a heatwave in this corner of the world. I don’t deal well with the heat. I melt. And it’s not fun to wear makeup either because even that thin layer on top of skin feels hot, and – guess what – it melts. Off. Still, some days I have to put on a face, so I’m reviewing two makeup primers in hopes they help solve this problem. Because even if you’re able to fry an egg on my forehead, at least it should be over a flawless, long lasting full beat face.
Review, Swatches | r.e.m. Beauty Midnight Liquid Eyeshadow in 11 Milky Way
When I was looking at what r.e.m. Beauty makeup products I should try, the liquid eyeshadows seemed to be screaming “pick me!”. And I did. The price was good, the packaging was adorable and the colour range was very interesting. The only thing left to know was if the quality was any good.
Review, Swatches | Haus Labs Powder Sculpt Velvet Bronzer in Light Level 4
After the hit that was the Bio-Radiant Highlighter, I had high expectations for the other face product I got from Haus Labs: the bronzer.
You know what, it is possible that there may be some faults with this brand, but it’s certainly not on their bronzers that you’ll find them.
Review, Swatches | Gucci Bronzing Powder in shade 01
I have quite a variety of bronzers, yet they rarely get a spotlight on this blog. Time to correct that. One of the most beautiful compacts I own is the Gucci bronzing powder, and I’ll be letting you know if it’s as good on the inside as it is pretty on the outside.
Review, Swatches | Flormar Baked Powder in 22 Marble Beige Gold
After reviewing the new Guerlain powder, I thought I’d revisit a less expensive blush/bronzer hybrid alternative. This is one of Flormar’s products that I haven’t gotten around to review, yet it’s my most used from them.
Review, Swatches | Make-up Atelier Paris Cream Eye Shadow in Violine Brown
I’ve reviewed a palette from Make-up Atelier Paris, and if you read that review you’ll know that my shopping experience wasn’t that great – but still, I left the store with three products, and this cream eyeshadow is one of them.
Well, one thing I can say is that quality varies depending on the product.
Review, Swatches | Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Glow Blush in 10 Intimate
Apparently, 2023 is the year of the blush. Brands are coming out with new lines, new shades or new formulas. This is dangerous for such a blush fiend like me. I don’t need to spend any more money on this. I got Euribor to worry about.
This being said, I bought one of the new Giorgio Armani blushes. Yep, that happened. And this is the review.
Review, Swatches | Guerlain Terracotta 2023 Flower Blossom Healthy Glow Powder
Every year, Guerlain launches a limited edition Terracotta powder for summer. I’ve been able to resist the more recent releases but this year the flower pan design got to me. It’s been a while since I’ve tried the formula, and I’m able to report that things haven’t changed a bit.
Review, Swatches | Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush in Coral
Dior is releasing more (inclusive) shades within the Backstage Rosy Glow Blush line, and a review of the formula is in order. I recently bought the shade Coral (obviously, I love coral), so that’s the one I’ll be reviewing.
