Whenever I travel somewhere, I make it a point to try and find local makeup brands to try out. Paris is home to many international beauty houses, but I wanted to find something more indie, less known – and I did. I went to a Makeup Atelier store (they also have a website). And I got, among other things, the Printemps eyeshadow palette to try.
Review, Swatches | Flower Knows Strawberry Rococo Cloud Lip Cream in S03 Caffè Mocha
This is the last of the products I got from my first Flower Knows purchase, and it is one more of their bestsellers from the Strawberry Rococo collection: the Cloud Lip Creams. I can see why they are a bestseller, and it’s not just the packaging.
Review, Swatches | Rare Beauty Give Yourself Grace Eyeshadow Palette
I’ve been wanting an excuse to try something for Rare Beauty, but I have too much makeup overall, plus I don’t mess with cream/liquid blushes (if only they released powders!). This year, however, they launched a palette that caught my eye. And here is the review.
Review, Swatches | r.e.m. beauty Interstellar Highlighter Topper in Miss Neptune
Ariana Grande’s makeup brand recently came to our Sephora stores here in Portugal, and I was just waiting for a site wide sale to pick a few things to try out. One of them had to be what I would say is quite an iconic product for the brand: the lilac highlighter, Miss Neptune.
Review, Swatches | Haus Labs Bio-Radiant Gel Powder Highlighter in Fire Opal
The Fire Opal highlighter from Lady Gaga’s makeup line is one of the darker shades in the range, and although I’m pale enough to scare a ghost, I decided to get it partially because I intended to use it as a blush, but mostly because I think it’s the most beautiful product in the entire brand.
Review, Swatches, Comparison | Supergoop! Glow Screen and Unseen Sunscreen
Supergoop (not to be confused or assumed to be a spin-off of Goop, the vagina-smelling candle manufacturer) is a beauty brand dedicated to sunscreen, particularly by finding ways to get people to incorporate SPF in their routine. And dedicated they are. Sunscreen never looked so different.
Review, Swatches | Chanel Eyeshadow and Blush Palette in 957 Tendresse
Chanel always seems to get to me with their Spring/Summer makeup collections – particularly with the blushes. This year they released blush palettes, which is a first for them as far as I know, and that made me want it even more. There are two variations and I chose the one geared towards lighter skintones, Tendresse.
Review, Swatches | Flower Knows Strawberry Rococo Blush in 02 Pure Rhyme
Is that the most beautiful pan embossing ever, or is that the most beautiful pan embossing ever? This is such eye candy that makes you wonder if Flower Knows thrives by just resting on pretty.
Review, Swatches | Flower Knows Strawberry Rococo Eyeshadow Palette in 03 Blackcurrant Cold Brew
How beautiful are these pans? Flower Knows sometimes walks that fine line between elaborately feminine and childishly tacky, but these jewel shaped pans are just dreamy. The Strawberry Rococo palettes have some really interesting colour stories, but I heard rave reviews about the shimmery eyeshadow in the Blackcurrant Cold Brew palette, so that’s the one I got.
Review, Swatches | Flower Knows Circus Loose Powder in 02 Beige
Flower Knows must know something I don’t, because it makes no sense to me that they would discontinue the most beautiful item they’ve ever made. The Circus Loose Powders are still available at some retailers, but apparently they’re going to be gone. The only justification for such a crime against beauty would be if the powder performed horribly… and that’s what this post is going to go into.
