Review, Swatches | Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Glow Blush in 10 Intimate

Apparently, 2023 is the year of the blush. Brands are coming out with new lines, new shades or new formulas. This is dangerous for such a blush fiend like me. I don’t need to spend any more money on this. I got Euribor to worry about.

This being said, I bought one of the new Giorgio Armani blushes. Yep, that happened. And this is the review.

The colour I chose is number 10, Intimate. The shade is a light rosy nude. Do you know what they call the colour “blush”? That’s what this is. A blush in a blush colour. On the swatches below there is a heavy swatch on the left, and a blended swatch on the right that you can’t really tell because it’s so close to my skintone, but you can see the slight glow from the satin finish.

Texture and application: this blush feels so velvety, so smooth. It’s a dense powder, and although it is not too firmly pressed, it does not have any powder kick up at all. I would recommend a denser type of brush to pick up a decent amount of product at once. This is incredibly easy to blend out on the cheeks. So easy that it allows for a fool proof, super fast application.

Pigmentation and finish: pigmentation is medium. One layer has a reasonable amount of colour, but you can get it to be more opaque by building it up. The blush has a satin finish, so it has a very soft glow.

Longevity: it lasted like a champion. After over 11 hours, it was still very much intact. When I removed it is was slightly faded just around the edges.

Packaging and other info: the compact, and actual blush size, is quite small (3,6 grams, while most smaller blushes are 4 grams). That doesn’t bother me too much because I don’t think I’m ever going to finish a blush pan in my lifetime. Even though small, the compact feels and looks like it is high end. There is a (tiny) mirror inside. Price is around 45,00€.

Final thoughts: for such a small product, it is quite expensive, but it behaves and performs like a luxury blush should. From the reviews I’ve seen, the entire line is like this, so if there is a shade that interests you, and you can justify the investment (well, I couldn’t, and I still bought it) than you won’t be disappointed.
