Flower Knows must know something I don’t, because it makes no sense to me that they would discontinue the most beautiful item they’ve ever made. The Circus Loose Powders are still available at some retailers, but apparently they’re going to be gone. The only justification for such a crime against beauty would be if the powder performed horribly… and that’s what this post is going to go into.
Review, Swatches | Flower Knows Flower Goddess Blush in Henbane
Could it be that I found another lavender blush? These seem to be rare yet popular, judging by the views on my purple/lavender blush list post, and as soon as I saw Henbane from Flower Knows I knew I had to check if it belonged there.
Review, Swatches | Tarte Gilded Glamour Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Wardrobe
Tarte came out with this limited edition set for last year’s holiday season and it is still available and for sale on most places, so I feel a review is due. Or maybe you don’t care about what I think of it and are here just for the swatches. Totally legitimate. Whatever it is, I hope this is still useful to someone out there.
Ranking Every 2022 Makeup I Bought!
There was a lot. This took way to much time to write. And this is just makeup that came out during 2022, not necessarily everything I bought throughout the year. I’m going to have to either control my spending or never do one of these posts again and we both know I’m not doing the first so you better enjoy it so I hope my efforts were not in vain and that this is useful or at least entertaining to you, my reader.
Review, Swatches | Tarte Precious Gems Amazonian Clay Cheek Palette
Is this the forth post in a row where I’m reviewing blush? Yes it is. And more will be coming. Addictions aside, my review of Tarte’s 2021 holiday blush set has been one of my most viewed posts, which tells me people are still very much interested in this formula. The Precious Gems cheek palette is last holiday’s palette and it is still available and currently on sale, so a review feels very apropos.
Review, Swatches | Estée Lauder Captivating Glow Gift Set
This gift set came out over the holidays and it was a completely blind purchase on my part. I had seen no reviews on it, even though the primer and lipstick are part of Estée Lauder’s permanent line – I just got it to be eligible for their blockbuster kit. This is still available and for sale on a few retailers, and let me tell you… run, don’t walk.
Review, Swatches | Illamasqua x Amy Double Trouble Face Duo
Don’t you love sale season? I’ve been keeping my eye on the Illamasqua x Amy Winehouse collection because there were a few items that interested me, this duo being one of them. These are two new shades and I’ve always had a great experience with Illamasqua blushes, so when this got to be 60% off I had to get it.
Review | Kiko Brushes (Face 16, Face 07, Smart Blush Brush 103, Eyes 52, Eyes 53, Eyes 56, Eyes 66)
About a year ago, I realised in shock after I arrived in Paris for a week vacation that I had forgotten my makeup brushes back at home. So I had to get a full set of affordable brushes while there. So my dreams of glamming it up in the city of light wouldn’t be turned off. And the closest mall was Gare do Nord where fortunately, Kiko is sold.
So here am I, to review Kiko Brushes.
Review, Swatches | Sephora Colorful Terrazzo Blush in Love in the Tropics Nº44 and South Farniente Nº47
About a year ago I reviewed the Sephora Colorful Terrazzo blush in the shade Chill in the Air (nº45) and I ended alluding to the fact that I might just get more of these if a sale popped up. Prophecy fulfilled.
Makeup Empties – The Good, The Bad and The Tossed #2
Here’s an obscenely overdue post about makeup empties. So much so that I’m not sure if many of these things weren’t discontinued and are therefore, no longer available for purchase, rendering this post virtually useless – but I’ve taken the pictures and taken the notes, so I’m adamant that my time won’t go to waist.
Yours might, though. Read at your own risk.
