Review, Swatches | Moira Signature Ombre Blusher in 06 Mellow Pink

I’ve been getting more and more into Moira. The multichrome eyeliners brought some attention to this brand, but what actually caught my eye in the first place were their ombre blushes (of course it was a blush). How could I resist that pan design?

There butterflies flying over a rose, in front of a flowery garland with a star in the background. Replace the clear plastic compact with a black one and you could be selling this for 60$ under Chanel or Lancôme’s brand name.

I chose the Mellow Pink shade, which is actually more of a peach. It is a light to medium peach with some pink undertones that are not strong enough for me to call it a coral. The lighter side of the blush is less pink that the darker one. The finish is matte throughout the pan.

Texture and application: the powder is super soft and smooth. It’s dense but not hardly pressed, and you and can get a bit of powder kick up with it, so I recommend using a feathery brush so as not to pick up to much product. It applies and blends seamlessly.

Pigmentation and finish: it is very pigmented, so even though it is a forgiving colour, I would recommend using a light hand with it. Thankfully it is not hard to blend out. There is no luminosity to it but it does not look chalky or dry on the skin, just smooth, and dare I say, even a little bit blurring.

Longevity: it lasts well, I noticed severe fading at the 11 hour mark (tested it over a powdered face, with no setting spray). It did not turn patchy when it faded.

Packaging & Other info: if not for the clear plastic compact, this would look like a high end product. The pan is quite large, and it’s not too hard to keep the brush on only the light or dark side, if you rather do that than blend the shades together. Price was 11,95€ on maquibeauty.com (not affiliated). It contains 9 grams of product, which is huge – it’s double the size of some full size blushes!

Final thoughts: beyond just how enjoyable it is to look at this pan, this blush performs very well and looks beautiful on the skin. My pan specifically has lost its definition because I’ve used it so much, the butterflies are starting to get blurred into the background. I love it, it’s great, and it’s not expensive at all. Completely worth it.
