I had to get up at 9:00 am on a Saturday. Is that information relevant to this post? No. But I’m still mad about it and I wanted to vent.
Being that I had to get up and out of the house so early, might as well look cute for the day. Spring is around the corner. And layers work great around this time because early in the morning it’s way colder than at noon – yes, 9:00 am is early. Before anyone calls me a wimp because they wake up at something like 6:00 am, let me tell you, 1st, they’re right, 2nd, 6:00 am is not early, it’s ungodly.
I wore an oversized knit over a pastel coloured shirt and a double-layered skirt – linen over tule – with a pair of over the knee suede boots. The colour palette is very light and Spring friendly: light yellow, soft coral and beige. I’m still wearing a heavy sweater and boots that go up to my neck though, the sun is out but winter is not over and I’m still a cold-sensitive hermit.
Specially at 9:00 am on a Saturday.
I paired the outfit with my Ralph Lauren gold bag. A metallic bag is always good to have in your closet. It’s the trampy bag: it goes well with everything. They’re incredibly versatile: have a gold and a silver one, and you’ll struggle to find an outfit where at least one of them won’t look good.
A button up shirt under a knitted sweater is a classic look. And over the knee boots with a mini-skirt can be a bit risqué, but it still looks very chic. At least that’s what I think. I also might need a nap.
