Black, white and fire red was one of the main colour stories for this winter, and judging by NYFW it seems to be crossing over to next winter as well. I’m here for it.
Orange you glad I suited up?
I know the puns on my post titles are cringey, and yet I still publish them. This was an exercise in matching separates that don’t quite match (different oranges, different brands).
A 1950’s Wink in Red and Pink
I’ve been into retro looks. Regardless of the current trends, retro always looks cool.
If I had a style icon…
…it would be Fran Fine, the main character of the 90’s hit sitcom, “The Nanny”.
Socks Appeal and a Preppy State of Mind
I bought too many pairs of argyle socks thinking they were going to be my next signature “thing” for winter, and I’ve had more trouble styling them than I anticipated. I need to correct that.
Black, Red & Margiela Mesh
Red is the colour of the season. And it was time to debut the Maison Margiela top (SS2021).
Black, White and a Zest of Chartreuse
I thought a post styling the Jacky K booties from United Nude was due, so here we are.
Runway to My Way: Kenzo Striped Jeans
I always liked Kenzo, and it’s not my first item from them, but this piece in particular from their Spring/Summer 2023 collection didn’t really caught my interest until I saw it in person. First, because the pants on the runway is the male version, and secondly, because you can’t really see the detail on the runway show.
In store, it’s a totally different story.
Runway to My Way: Marques’Almeida Mesh Pink Dress
I’ve been so into fashion lately, it’s insane. I spent way to much money this season. I’ve bought a subscription to Vogue. And I’ve been hunting down pieces I see on the actual runway. Hence this new series, Runway to My Way, where I show my styling of garments we see in shows. And there is no better place to start than with this Marques’Almeida dress.
Pinãta Chic: Colourful is the New Black
Every time I look at this jacket, I think of my mom. She hates it. I bought heavily discounted and she said she could tell. Here’s the thing, I really like it. I love my colorful, ribboned, pinãta-looking jacket. And I really need to wear it more.
