I’ve been so into fashion lately, it’s insane. I spent way to much money this season. I’ve bought a subscription to Vogue. And I’ve been hunting down pieces I see on the actual runway. Hence this new series, Runway to My Way, where I show my styling of garments we see in shows. And there is no better place to start than with this Marques’Almeida dress.
Following my recent Moira infatuation, I felt I needed to test and review their eyeshadow formulas. They have quite a few palettes that look stunning (have you seen the pastels?), but for my first try I decided to go with a smaller option with a safer (but not boring) colour story. So, the Live In The Moment palette it was.
Furla is an underrated brand. They are priced at that mid tier level between high street fashion and designer (I think we are calling them “contemporary” brands now?) so they are relatively affordable but don’t really skimp on quality and retain that luxury feel. There needs to be more reviews on Furla bags, so let me start with Portagioia.
Glow Recipe has been quite popular in the last few years, hasn’t it? I have tried some things from their Watermelon line but that one was so trendy and talked about that I felt my reviews wouldn’t add that much to what was already said about it. The Avocado line, on the other hand, could use more attention.
If you are a makeup girl like me, you know that no matter how many times dermatologists/skincare experts/instructions on the back of sunscreen packaging tell you to reapply your sunscreen, that ain’t gonna happen. How am I going to put an SPF cream on top of a powdered and mascara-ed face? I won’t. So you can see how an SPF setting spray is filling out an obvious market gap.
I first learned about United Nude when I was on the first semester of Architecture – a good friend that I’ve met during those classes, an absolute fashionista that had a budget that was well over our typical broke-student-spare-money, introduced me to the brand as something that combined architecture with our mutual love of shoes.
And she was right, the ethos of the brand revolves around architectural shapes, structures and designs – all applied to shoe making.
I meant to be ahead of the trend and bought this as soon as it came out, to be one of the firsts to review it. Then life happened. You make plans and god laughs, right? Well, better late than never.
Every time I look at this jacket, I think of my mom. She hates it. I bought heavily discounted and she said she could tell. Here’s the thing, I really like it. I love my colorful, ribboned, pinãta-looking jacket. And I really need to wear it more.
I’ve realised I have never featured an Honest Beauty product in my blog, and I have tried quite a few. Well, now’s the time to change that. Plus, I feel there needs to be more reviews out there of “clean beauty” brands from a dirty beauty lover like me.
