The post I’ve done about purple and lavender blushes in 2021 has been one of my most popular posts of all time. Almost 3 years later and a few extra launches, I think it’s time for an update.
Black, White and a Zest of Chartreuse
I thought a post styling the Jacky K booties from United Nude was due, so here we are.
Review, Swatches | Moira Eye Catching Dip Liner in 18 Yellow
How fun is a yellow eyeliner? Usually, liquid liners in pastel or bright colours are not that good, but I had such a good experience with the Kylie Cosmetics baby blue liner that I got cocky and went searching for other bright shades. Moira has quite the colour range for liquid liners, and yellow just made sense.
Brand Review | Biossance (Copper Peptide Serum, Vitamin C Rose Oil, Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum, Elderberry Cleanser)
There are so many skincare lines out there that in order for a new brand to find its niche, they have to be about a specific ingredient. Glow Recipe is about fruit, Verso is about Retinol, Caudelie is about grapes, Biossance is about squalane. Out of everything that Biossance could be about, squalane is not bad at all. It’s a great ingredient.
Runway to My Way: Kenzo Striped Jeans
I always liked Kenzo, and it’s not my first item from them, but this piece in particular from their Spring/Summer 2023 collection didn’t really caught my interest until I saw it in person. First, because the pants on the runway is the male version, and secondly, because you can’t really see the detail on the runway show.
In store, it’s a totally different story.
Review | Sisley Paris Double Tenseur Primer
I’ve only just recently realised this is quite a controversial primer. The price point is what drives that, because it’s so expensive that it basically divides people into two groups: the ones that will never be happy with it because there’s only so much a primer can do and it will never be worth the price, and the ones that convince themselves that this does indeed do a world of difference because, for the cost, it must, right?
Well, I’m in neither group and therefore in the perfect position to give an unbiased opinion.
Red Dress and Black Boots, the Devilish Duo
A form fitting dress with over the knee boots is not exactly my go to silhouette nowadays, but I was missing my early twenties and I’m still celebrating the fact that I managed to get back to my pre-baby shape (well, for the most part. RIP waistline).
Fragrance Review | Shiseido Ever Bloom Eau de Parfum
I’ve raved about Guerlain being a brand that I can trust almost blindly when it comes to scents that I enjoy and that fit me well, but so far I’ve neglected to mention another brand that fits that description as well: Shiseido. Their offering is quite small but what they do, they do well.
I’ll be reviewing Ever Bloom Eau de Parfum, my only distinctly Summer scent.
Shop & Tell | Designer Outlet Haul
You know what my problem is? I married an enabler. I was perfectly contempt just knowing about Farfetch and Net-a-Porter. “Have you heard about Outnet?”, my husband says. No, I hadn’t, darling. A month and three orders later, I’m quite familiar with the website now. No affiliation, all that I’ve got from them was courtesy of the gaping hole I carved in my bank account.
Review, Swatches | Erre Due Sparkling Powder in 409 Bursting Lava
I’m never tired of baked blushes. I blame the Mineralize Skinfinish frenzy the world was going through when I first got interested in makeup and MAC was the sh*t. I’ll forever be attracted to the domed, shimmery, multicoloured beauty powders. This time I’m reviewing a blush from a Greek makeup brand, Erre Due (not affiliated); they have a website and ship worldwide, so no need to wait for a trip to Greece to get your hands on their stuff.
