Hey guys, back at it again with the Moira products. Now it’s time for a brightly coloured gel eyeliner: number 14, Hot Pink.
The colour is more a bubblegum pink than actual hot pink. It’s a tad darker than the Pink Panther shade. It’s cool toned and has a matte finish.
Texture and Application: this eyeliner glides easily on the lid and applies evenly without skipping or tugging. It’s smooth but not overly creamy. It has the texture of a soft crayon – and that’s a good thing. You can smudge it out while it’s settling, but that takes away a lot of the pigment. After it dries down, it’s not moving.
Pigmentation: it’s opaque in one pass. You can apply multiple layers with no risk of causing patchiness, but you honestly don’t need to, this is fully opaque with just one layer.
Longevity: I tested it on the upper lid and the lower lashline. Most eyeliners that claim to be long-wearing and waterproof (like this one does) usually stand up to those claims on the upper lid, but may perform very poorly on the waterline. Not this one, though. On the lid, it was still intact after 12 hours – no fading and no smudging, and I rubbed my eyes a few times throughout the day because I forgot I was wearing it. But the waterline, that was what really impressed me. I noticed some minimal fading on the waterline after about 5 hours, but it held in there pretty well until the 12 hour mark (and remember, I rubbed my eyes!). At the end of the day it wasn’t as intense as when I first applied it, but it was still very much there.
Packaging & Other Info: this is a twist up gel liner that comes with a tip sharpener on the bottom. The packaging isn’t flimsy at all for such an inexpensive liner, and the cap feels quite secure. It contains 0,25g and costs 5,95€.
Final Thoughts: It’s amazing. If I ever need another shade of gel eyeliner, I’m getting it from Moira. The performance on the waterline was what really knock it out of the park -and it’s making me want to try the black version.
