Review | [comfort zone] Renight Cream and Hydramemory Cream Gel

Comfort Zone seems to be a spa-focused brand that isn’t that easily accessible, at least not on big beauty retailers, and yet, I somehow ended up with two moisturisers from them.

I have a night cream from the Renight line, which focuses on thicker formulas and antioxidants, and a hydration cream from the Hydramemory line.

Renight Cream Review (73€ for 60 ml)

While this cream is denser than the cream gel from the Hydramemory line, I would not call it a “thick” moisturiser. It’s a bit more rich than a typical daytime cream, and you can feel it on the skin after application, however it is easy to spread and does not feel greasy nor oily. It is a comfortable one to put on when you need a more occlusive moisturiser but can’t stand that oily feel.

Key ingredients in this product are macadamia oil, shea butter and jojoba oil, and all three make sense for a rich night cream, because they are all quite emollient. This also contains vitamin E (an antioxidant) and hyaluronic acid (great at hydration). It does contain fragrance, which I’ll always rather it didn’t, but I honestly can’t really detect it when smelling the product so hopefully it’s at a really low, non-sensitising concentration.

Comfort Zone Renight Cream Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil, Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Hexyldecyl Laurate, Hexyldecanol, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Propylheptyl Caprylate, Cetearyl Isononanoate, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter/Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Sodium Acrylates/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Sorbitan Laurate, Lycium Barbarum Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil/Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydrolyzed Tomato Skin, Parfum/Fragrance, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Anisate, Citric Acid, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Tocopherol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lauryl Glucoside, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Geraniol, Sodium Benzoate.

Hydramemory Cream Gel (60€ for 60 ml)

Cream gel is correct, that is exactly how I would describe this texture. Lovely to apply, feels very lightweight on the skin yet still moisturising, and is quite refreshing on a warmer day.

This contains moringa seed oil, which is an emollient, watermelon fruit extract (an antioxidant), lentil fruit extract and apple fruit extract (both good humectants). And like the previous cream, it contains vitamin E (antioxidant) and hyaluronic acid (hydration). It also contains fragrance, my skincare archenemy, and in this case I can detect it – and it is relatively up on the ingredients list, before any of the fruit extracts, which I’m definitely not a fan of.

Comfort Zone Hydramemory Cream Gel Ingredients: Aqua/ Water/ Eau, Glycerin, Sodium Acrylate/ Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Propanediol, Polymethyl Methacrylate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Parfum/ Fragrance, Citrullus Lanatus Fruit Extract/ Citrullus Lanatus (Watermelon) Fruit Extract, Sodium Levulinate, Benzyl Alcohol, Oleyl Erucate, Lens Esculenta Fruit Extract/ Lens Esculenta (Lentil) Fruit Extract, Disodium EDTA, Acrylates/ C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Pyrus Malus Fruit Extract/ Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Propylheptyl Caprylate, Sodium Hydroxide, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Tocopherol, Citric Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, O-Cymen-5-Ol, Magnolia Officinalis Bark Extract, Sodium Lactate, Sodium PCA, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate.

Final Thoughts

Both creams are fine, but not really memorable. I like the Renight cream better because it is a heavier, more occlusive formulation that really targets dry skin but does not feel greasy. I’ll gladly use these up, but because of the price and difficult accessibility, I don’t see myself repurchasing.
