Red lipstick is the LBD of makeup – at least for me. So whenever I splurge on a luxury, extremely high end lipstick, ten out of ten times, it’s going to be a red shade.

Every once in a while I blindly buy a fragrance – and by blindly I mean online, without ever having tried the scent before. It’s a risk that rarely pays off, yet I keep being persuaded by marketing and keep falling into this trap. There’s always that one time that you end up with a new favourite perfume, most times you end up with bottles you’ll pass on to someone else, and sometimes you end up with something like Hèrmes Twilly Eau Poivree.

This past year Hermès expanded their beauty line and released blushes and a single highlighter, Poudre D’Orfèvre Permabrass, that is a neutral toned gold with a stunning Hermès logo embossing and a jaw dropping 98€ price tag. 98 euros for a powder that’s not white and sniffable? The audacity. I had to give it a whirl.

Here we are, Christmas Eve, and the 12 Days of Christmas finale!! I have to confess, this was a daunting task. A post everyday for 12 days in a row talking about so many favourites was really tiring.
