Review | Zac Posen Eartha Wristlet Crossbody Bag

I’ve always wanted a Zac Posen bag and last year I clearly was crossing off a lot of my shopping wishlist items.

I got the Eartha Wristlet bag in an eggplant colour because I needed something to go with my pink/mauve/blush formal dresses, but I believe currently it is only available in black and a cream colour.

This bag is very structured and holds its shape really well. The leather feels smooth and is quite thick and sturdy. In general, it looks and feels well built. The hardware is a of a brushed gold that feels high quality and seems scratch-resistant.

The outside flap closes with a metal clasp that is easy enough to open and shut with just one hand. However, once you open that flap, there are two zippers that close the bag by meeting in the middle. Two zippers make the opening/closing process more cumbersome than it needs to be but, by closing in the middle, the zipper pullers are completely concealed by the flap, which makes the bag look that much more sleek and elegant.

It’s more roomy than it appears. I can fit my phone, keys, and a slim wallet. It even fits my bulky sunglasses case (but nothing else with it). On the inside there is a pocket with three different card slots, in case you want/need to forgo the whole wallet. There are no other pockets.

The detachable, circle wrist bangle also attaches to the longer shoulder strap – that I’ve never worn and am never gonna wear because I prefer to carry my bags, specially the small ones, on my hand. But it’s nice to have the option.

It’s not an everyday bag, and I don’t really put it in the “mini bag” category because it’s too big and too practical to be a trinket – I would consider this a ceremony/date night bag, and a great one at that. Probably not my last from Zac Posen.
