I’ve always been a loyal purchaser of stick foundations. They save me time in rushed mornings. Which are all of them. Because I wake up with just enough time to arrive only 5 minutes late. So a foundation that doesn’t require me to use an extra tool to apply (like a brush or sponge) goes at the top of the list of makeup I reach for in the 3 minutes I allocate to do my makeup.Continue reading “Battle of The Stick Foundations – Which one is the Best?”
Limitless by Sephora was an online event prepared by Sephora Portugal that was supposed to happen the past 20th of June. You could get access to the event by buying a beauty box filled with goodies for 30€. When the boxes sold out, you could get the ticket for the event alone for 10€. Now, this was the first time something like this was organised by Sephora. Did I mention it was online?
You know what they say, life is what happens when bandwidth allows it.Continue reading “Limitless by Sephora: Ticket Beauty Box and My Opinion of the Event”
Well, I’m still working from home, and I can’t really go anywhere without constantly giving my nose, mouth and chin a mini-sauna, courtesy of a surgical mask, so I’ve become less and less interested in outfits and clothes, and more and more into makeup. I can still look cute in my Zoom meetings, full glam on the face and pyjamas on my legs.Continue reading “Summer Makeup Favourites (2020)”
Having been a makeup
hoarder lover for over 10 years, I’ve been trough the online growth of the beauty community. Back in 2008, I wanted to learn how to make my eyes look bigger (they’re tiny) with makeup and so I went on youtube, had almost no relevant search results, and one of the first videos I found and watched was from Panacea81 (Lauren Luke). This was when she was on the rise. That was basically the launch of beauty gurus on youtube.
Guys, I remember the video of the person who invented project pan. I will be doing one soon so I’ll expand on this on that post.
I’ve gone through all the makeup fads since makeup started being a thing in social media. Trends, brands, influencers came and went and I still have the products to remember – them and the money I spent at the time. Here’s a list of some real historical cult favourites (and please, if you ever – or still – own any of these, tell me in the comments, so I don’t feel ancient alone).Continue reading “Makeup Memory Lane – A look at cult favourites”
Collection posts are fun. At least I love to read them. It’s like someone giving a tour of their candy shop. And you go along and think “I want that. And that. And that one. I want that…”.
I’ll give a short description/overview of each product here. If you have questions about a specific one or even would like a more in-depth review, feel free to ask in the comments. The ones marked with a ♥ are my most used favourites.Continue reading “Glow Galore – a highlighter collection review”
I love makeup. Like, hoarder style. My collection is way too big for just me and I love it that way.
…but I love sleep even more. So here’s a 5 min makeup routine with less than 10 products. Ready? Let’s go:Continue reading “A 5 (ish) min makeup routine – tips & products”
