Red is the colour of the season. And it was time to debut the Maison Margiela top (SS2021).
Red Dress and Black Boots, the Devilish Duo
A form fitting dress with over the knee boots is not exactly my go to silhouette nowadays, but I was missing my early twenties and I’m still celebrating the fact that I managed to get back to my pre-baby shape (well, for the most part. RIP waistline).
Vintage Vibes & Versace Jeans: Buckle Up for the Seventies
For being such a fashion fiend as I am, I’m not too big on accessories. Like belts. Belts to me are more utilitarian, and usually concealed under knits and shirts. But I overpaid for a Versace Jeans belt three years ago and I’m determined to get my money’s worth out of it, goddamnit!
Top 5 | Best Peach Blushes (2021)
Spring is coming. The days are longer, the sun is out. Pastels and light, soft colours are of the hour. And I want a peach of that.
Gimme them peach blushes. I want to have resting peach face.
Review | Burberry Derby Small Banner Tote Bag
All hail my biggest purchase of 2020. Screw the 30th birthday, getting this bag was what made me feel all grown up. Months and months of working from home culminated into purchasing a bag that’s ideal for the office. One can wish for better times.
Bronzer Bonanza – A collection review
Bronzer was, for a long time, my least favourite makeup item. I never really understood how to use it because people kept giving contradictory instructions: “apply to the higher points of the face, where the sun naturally hits you”, they say, while demonstrating that you should apply on the temples, under the cheekbone and on the jawline. WTF?
I’m sorry, but my temples are not a high point of the face. That would be the forehead, bridge and tip of the nose, and cheekbone. That’s what gets sunburned.
Words aside, the temple-cheekbone-jawline thing is actually the way to go, I find. Once I made amends with the technique and managed to get myself flatteringly tanned, the collection grew. And here we are.
Like in the last collection post, the ones marked with a ♥ are my most used favourites.
‘Twas the Time for Tweed
Classic, grown up, subdued prints are major this fall. Plaid, houndstooth, animal prints – the classic neutral tones, not the neon, LMFAO Party Rock music video type colours – and tweed.
So I take a very adult, mature trend and decide to wear it like a school girl.
Burberry Unboxing – Check it out
See what I did there? The Burberry check pattern is probably one of the most recognisable ever – and very on par with the brand itself, it stands the test of time, being that it was registered as a trademark 99 years ago.
This is a designer that I consider carries a genuinely classic collection – yes, because many pieces that get dubbed as “timeless” have a fashion life of about 10 years, but the Burberry trench coat is forever in style. This isn’t the time for a trench unboxing, unfortunately, my wallet is still unprepared for such, but I got myself the next best thing.
My kryptonite.
My love.
My everything: shoes.
