Shop & Tell: Moschino Pink Flower Pumps

The Moschino Fall 2020/2021 collection was jaw dropping and mouth watering. A world where Marie Antoinette meets Barbie and God is a drag queen with a sweet tooth. Makes no sense? Sure. Sounds absolutely fabulous? Undoubtedly.

I’m so happy to have a piece of that cake in my closet.

I have a soft spot for Moschino. It’s Italian avant-garde meets my 10-year-old self. Outrageous and cute, feminine and unorthodox. I love some quirkiness in my wardrobe, and wouldn’t mind if it was filled with Moschino ready to wear pieces. I would not wear everything they put on the runway because I would look crazy, not because I wouldn’t want to.

I’d wear a cake dress if I could. Who wouldn’t?

This time around I managed to get a little bit of that runway magic into my collection. These pink pumps are covered in what’s supposed to resemble sugar flowers from wedding cakes.

This is what Cinderella would order for spring pumps. The pointed toe and the spool heels are so elegant and princess like.

Everything is made of leather apart from the flowers, which are plastic adornments.

This is an Italian size 36, which is the smallest they make, and it’s a bit big on me. When it comes to summer shoes, I’m a size 35 (I’m only a 36 in winter shoes because I can add socks), but these aren’t only big length wise, they’re also very roomy, which I think you can see in the picture above. And I have fat feet.

So if you’re between sizes and wondering what to order from Moschino, I recommend going a size down.

And that’s it. That’s all I can say about this pair, for now at least. This is not really a review because due to the times we are living, I haven’t been able to wear them outside yet. After so many years echoing the “so many clothes and nothing to wear” mantra, never did I think that one day I would be saying, so many shoes and nowhere to go.

Whatever. When this is all over, I’ll be ready, post-pandemic-pink-pumps and all.
